SCFC Select

Spring Creek’s Competitive soccer program is designed for Boys and Girls ages U11-U19. The Competitive Program provides a positive environment for players who demonstrate the necessary talent, skill, commitment, good sportsmanship, and desire to continue to develop and compete at a higher level.

Experienced and Licensed Staff will lead training sessions for Competitive teams Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. In addition SCFC will offer goalkeeper training within the weekly training cycle.

SCFC teams compete within the top level of the Iowa Soccer state league. These games are typically played within the Metro area along with travel to Iowa City , and Cedar Rapids. U11-U19 teams will play in one local tournament and one out-of-state tournament (locations such as Kansas City, Minneapolis, or Omaha) each season.  SCFC teams also compete in the USYS, state and regional competitions.

U11 (2014) - U12 (2013)

This program is for players who want to continue to improve individual skills while being challenged in a team environment. Coaches focus on expanding player abilities, skills, and game aptitude while introducing team tactics. Teams play 9v9, adding mid-field play and the merging of technical, tactical, and psychological elements of the game. Ultimately, players are prepared for the advancement to 11v11.

U13 (2012) - U19 (2006)

The U13-19 program is meant for focused, highly motivated, and talented players who want to experience the personal growth and developmental benefits of high-level, specific, and professional coaching. Players are provided the opportunity to play against local, and regional competition with ability-level formed teams. Focus is on teaching skillful, possession, and attacking soccer. Coaches constantly push players in practice and games to achieve the next level of play.

Tryouts

Players who are U11-19 can try out for Spring Creek’s Select program during annual tryouts in June. Team placement is determined by tryouts, with invites to players issued following the Iowa Soccer schedule for bids to be issued.

Try out dates for 2024 will be held June 3rd -6th at Spring Creek Sports Complex.

Bid dates for 2024 are as follows:

U11-U13 (2014-2012) Boys and Girls - Wednesday June 12th 8:00am

U14-U19 (2011-2006) Boys and Girls - Wednesday June 19th 8:00am

Registration is for a full year (spring and fall) for players U11 through U15/8th grade. For high school students who are participating in high school soccer in the spring, Select soccer is offered for the fall season only.

Fees (2024-2025 season)

Fees include: 

  • 3 training sessions per week led by Staff coaches during the fall and spring seasons

  • Regular season league games, typically 6-7 games per season.

  • Tournament entry fees (2 fall events for full and half season players, 2 spring events for full year)

  • Winter training - 1 night per week, by age group.

  • Administration fees

  • Field maintenance

  • referee fees
